C/O POP SHOW - C/O POP PRÄSENTIERT NEUE KONZERTREIHE IN KÖLN

Zeitlich losgelöst vom traditionell im Juni stattfindenden Festival präsentiert c/o pop unter dem Titel »c/o pop Show« ab sofort und über das ganze Jahr verteilt hochkarätige Konzerte von immer großartigen, oft noch unbekannten aber immer vielversprechenden Geheimtipps und besonderen c/o pop-Lieblingen.
 
Den Anfang machen tUnE-yArDs aus Kanada. Vor einem halben Jahr neben Austra als eine der Entdeckungen des SXSW in Austin gefeiert, überzeugen tUnE-yArDs vor allem durch Merrill Garbus’ außergewöhnliche Stimme und das ausgefeilte Echtzeit-Sampling à la Animal Collective oder Owen Palett. Pünktlich zum 25jährigen Geburtstag des Kölner Stadtgartens am kommenden Wochenende werden tUnE-yArDs am Montag, den 5.9.2011 die neue c/o pop -Konzertreihe eröffnen.

c/o pop has been taking place anually in Cologne since 2004. The programme of the festival is dedicated to contemporary pop culture in all its variety. Parallel to the festival, c/o pop hosts a business forum known as the c/o pop Convention which is directed to professionals from the creative industries. The convention focusses on networking between the different creative industries. Another major c/o pop project is »Europareise«, a network of 70 festivals which helps to connect the festival scene from Europe and beyond. 2010 c/o pop saw over 30,000 visitors and 1,200 professionals from 30 countries.
